This lesson plan demonstrates how I embed formative assessment into my daily teaching practice. This lesson plan exemplifies the process of co-creating a success criterion with the students, enabling them to provide feedback and establish goals appropriate to their project. Through reflecting on their work, the students will strengthen their artistic practice allowing them to make decisions about the aesthetic development on their own, pushing their project forward.
This lesson plan indicates my approach to differentiation in the classroom. To create dynamic and exciting lessons, each have visual, auditory, and kinaesthetic elements catering to all learning needs.
This lesson is taken from a Junior Cycle unit of learning based on the theme of 'A representation of yourself/another through objects' with the final artwork being an oil pastel painting.
