Here I provide a selection of videos and animations created through my time on the PME, this video focus on storytelling. I utilised applications such as Inshot and Stop Motion Studio; I would now be confident to use such applications in the classroom, not only to document the development of students' work creating dynamic promotional videos to encourage students and parents to select art as a subject; but also, as a means of creating the artwork itself.
Many students have an interest in animation, this would be an opportunity for the student to use their creativity, along with acquiring digital and design literacy.
Time Passing
This video was created in response to the theme ‘artificial time lapse’. I created an artificial time lapse through manipulation the lighting and objects in the maquette, which I produced for my paintings.

This video was created through stop motion animation. Stop motion animation is a method of creating an animation through a series of photographs; the objects are physically moved in small increments between individually photographs. When the imagery is played at speed it creates the illusion of movement.

The poem read over the animation is ‘To pass the time’ by Rachel Keating.

Market Day
Market Day as remembered by my grandmother, Sheila Murphy. She describes her memory of walking to town on market day, with her mother and father. All the still photography used in this video was taken by my grandfather, Sheila Murphy’s beloved husband Frank Murphy.

The moving imagery borrowed and repurposed is from YouTube channel British Pathé.

The Money We Missed Out On
My mother recalls how we came to possess an antique pair of opera glasses, considering her modest upbringing.
