& Digital Painting 

Students conducted an investigation into the practice and processes of David Hockney, through analysis of artwork and listening to interviews with Hockney. The students adopted elements and aspects of Hockney’s practice. The students embraced Hockney’s subject matter of the natural world, by conducting a visual investigation and documenting this through photography. Once the documentation stage was complete, the students converted their photography into digital drawings. Through adopting this process, the students developed a new appreciation for Hockney’s work and developed an understanding of how his imagery became stylised.
